Realizador e Argumentista/Director and Screenwriter (Portugal)
Nasceu na fantástica década de sessenta do século passado e conseguiu sobreviver aos esquisitos anos setenta. Tornou-se benfiquista, apaixonou-se pelo cinema, pela música, pela banda-desenhada e pela literatura. Mau grado os esforços, nunca foi grande coisa a desenhar e, o único instrumento musical que toca é a campainha de casa quando se esquece da chave. Nos anos oitenta teve uma breve passagem pelo curso de Linguística que abandonou pelo cinema e ingressou na Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, onde tirou o curso de Montagem. Escreveu sobre cinema nos jornais Blitz, Universitário do Porto e Região de Leiria. Hoje é colunista do Jornal de Leiria. Trabalhou como assistente de realização de, entre outros, Eric Barbier, João Pedro Rodrigues e Marco Martins. Começou a realizar publicidade e, mais tarde, documentários. O seu último trabalho é um documentário intitulado De Angola à Contraposta, sobre a fabulosa viagem de Capelo & Ivens, que teve exibição na RTP2, RTP África. Pelo meio escreveu o argumento de Contrato, filme que Nicolau Breyner realizou.
He was born in the fantastic sixties of the last century and managed to survive the weird seventies. He became a Benfica fan, fell in love with cinema, music, comics and literature. Despite his efforts, he was never good at drawing, and the only musical instrument he knows how to play is the doorbell when he forgets the key. In the eighties, he had a brief passage through the Linguistics course, which he abandoned for cinema and then he entered in the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, where he took the Editing course. He wrote about cinema in the newspapers Blitz, Universitário do Porto and Região de Leiria. Currently, he is a columnist for Jornal de Leiria. He worked as assistant director for, among others, Eric Barbier, João Pedro Rodrigues and Marco Martins. He began to direct advertising and, later, documentaries. His latest work is a documentary entitled De Angola à Contracosta, about the fabulous journey of Capelo & Ivens, which was shown on RTP2, RTP África. In between, he wrote the script for Contrato, a film that Nicolau Breyner directed.
Argumentista/Screenwriter (Portugal)
Nascida em 1977, é formada em Som e Imagem pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa e com pós-graduação em Produção de TV pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, é uma argumentista que enriqueceu o seu percurso trabalhando nas múltiplas etapas do processo cinematográfico. Desde as fases iniciais de um projecto, produção, pós-produção até à estreia, reuniu este conhecimento em pequenas e grandes produtoras em Portugal – como a Ukbar Filmes ou a Fado Filmes – e trabalhou com novos e emergentes realizadores, bem como com autores que ajudaram a moldar o cinema português, como António da Cunha Telles e Luís Galvão Telles. Após trabalhos para cinema, televisão, de ler, analisar e reescrever inúmeros guiões de drama, comédia, documentários, séries de televisão e telenovelas, envolveu-se em atividades que transcendem a esfera do audiovisual, como a gestão e análise linguística de modelos de Machine Learning em Inteligência Artificial. Tendo tido um vislumbre em primeira mão de como estas se estão a incorporar na nossa narrativa humana, volta à escrita de narrativas cinematográficas com a missão de defender em primeira linha o que há de belo, único, orgânico e imperfeito no universo que a rodeia e que quer preservar.
Born in 1977, she holds a degree in Sound and Image from the Portuguese Catholic University and a postgraduate degree in TV Production from the Technical University of Lisbon. She is a screenwriter who has enriched her career by working across multiple stages of the filmmaking process. From the initial phases of a project, through production and post-production, to the premiere, she has gathered this knowledge while working in both small and large production companies in Portugal – such as Ukbar Filmes and Fado Filmes. She has collaborated with new and emerging directors as well as with authors who have helped shape Portuguese cinema, such as António da Cunha Telles and Luís Galvão Telles.
After working on scripts for cinema and television, reading, analyzing, and rewriting numerous scripts ranging from drama to comedy, documentaries, television series, and soap operas, she has engaged in activities that go beyond the realm of audiovisual production, such as managing and linguistically analyzing Machine Learning models in Artificial Intelligence. Having had a firsthand glimpse of how these technologies are being incorporated into our human narrative, she returns to writing cinematic narratives with the mission of advocating foremost for the beauty, uniqueness, organic nature, and imperfection in the universe around her that she wants to preserve.

Cátia Biscaia (1983, Leiria, Portugal) é pós-graduada em Audiovisual e Multimédia, pela Escola Superior de Comunicação Social de Lisboa.
Fotógrafa profissional – premiada nacional e internacionalmente – e professora universitária na área da Imagem, trabalha, igualmente, na área do Cinema, enquanto Directora do Leiria Film Fest (Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens), produtora e assistente de imagem de diversas curtas-metragens.
“Chama-se Carla” é a sua primeira obra enquanto realizadora.

Músico e Compositor/Musician and Composer (Portugal)
Nascido em 1987, inicia os seus estudos musicais aos 11 anos de idade, tendo a guitarra como instrumento.
Ingressa na Escola de Jazz de Torres Vedras onde prossegue os estudos de guitarra e formação musical, ingressando depois na escola de música Luis António Maldonado Rodrigues e mais tarde na escola Canto Firme de Tomar para estudos de violoncelo, aprofundar conhecimentos teóricos, análise e técnicas de composição.
Em 2011 frequenta a Universidade de Aveiro, no curso de Música, vertente de Composição.
Como compositor e multi-instrumentista integra o projecto “maiseu” e compõe bandas sonoras para inúmeras peças e curtas-metragens, onde foi diversas vezes premiado.
Born in 1987, he began his musical studies at the age of 11, with the guitar as his instrument of choice. He enrolled in the Jazz School of Torres Vedras, where he continued his guitar studies and music theory education. Later, he joined the Luis António Maldonado Rodrigues music school and then the Canto Firme school in Tomar to study cello, deepen his theoretical knowledge, and learn composition techniques.
In 2011, he attended the University of Aveiro, majoring in Music with a focus on Composition. As a composer and multi-instrumentalist, he is part of the “maiseu” project and has composed soundtracks for numerous plays and short films, winning several awards along the way.
Crítico de Cinema/Film Critic (Portugal)
Com formação académica na área da Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais – Diplomacia e Direitos Humanos, é desde 2009 crítico de cinema no espaço CinEuphoria, que fundou.
Membro da Academia Portuguesa de Cinema desde 2011, integra também, desde 2012, a Online Film Critics Society nos Estados Unidos tendo sido o primeiro crítico online português a fazer parte desta organização. Já exerceu atividade enquanto jurado no Shortcutz Viseu, Planos Film Fest e no Festival Caminhos Cinema Português. É também programador oficial do Festival Internacional de Cine Piélagos en Corto na Cantábria, em Espanha desde 2015.
With an academic background in Political Science and International Relations – Diplomacy and Human Rights, he has been a film critic since 2009 at CinEuphoria, a space he founded.
He is a member of the Academia Portuguesa de Cinema since 2011 and he is also a member, since 2012, of the Online Film Critics Society in the United States, being the first portuguese online critic in this organization.He has already worked as a judge at Shortcutz Viseu, Planos Film Fest and at Festival Caminhos Cinema Português.
He is also the official programmer of the Festival Internacional de Cine Piélagos en Corto in Cantabria, Spain since 2015.

Nomeado duas vezes aos Prémios Sophia da Academia Portuguesa de Cinema, Bruno Carnide é um realizador independente e director-fundador do Leiria Film Fest – Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens, desde 2013.
Realizou curtas-metragens de ficção, animação e documentário que venceram mais de quarenta prémios e foram exibidas em centenas de festivais de cinema em todo o mundo, incluindo festivais qualificadores aos Oscars e Prémios Europeus.
Com Título de Especialista em Produção Cinematográfica, Bruno Carnide é docente na área de Cinema no Politécnico de Leiria (Portugal).
Foi curador do Museu da Imagem em Movimento (Portugal), entre 2022 e 2024, e é frequentemente membro do júri em Festivais Internacionais de Cinema.
Bruno Carnide, nominated twice for the Sophia Awards of the Portuguese Film Academy, is an independent portuguese director and founding director of Leiria Film Fest – International Short Film Festival, since 2013.
He has directed fiction, animation and documentary short films, which won dozens awards and have been exhibited in hundreds film festivals around the world, including qualifying festivals for the Oscars and European Film Awards.
With a Specialist Title in Film Production, Bruno Carnide is a lecturer in the field of Cinema at Polytechnic of Leiria (Portugal).
He was curator at Museum of the Moving Image (Portugal), between 2022 and 2024, and is frequently a member of the jury at International Film Festivals.

Radialista, jornalista, divulgador e programador de cinema. Coordena e apresenta, desde 2005, o CINEMAX, um canal dedicado à atualidade e programação de cinema, online, com emissão na rádio Antena 1 e sessões de curtas-metragens na no canal televisivo RTP2.
Desde 1999, escreve regularmente sobre cinema em diversas publicações: a revista Visão, o Jornal de Notícias e a revista digital Metropolis.
Organiza, programa e apresenta o Shortcutz Ovar, desde 2017, e sessões de curtas-metragens no Cinema Nimas, em Lisboa.
