Depois de três meses a receber os vossos filmes a concurso, está na altura de os ver a todos e escolher os melhores para a 13.ª edição do Leiria Film Fest, que irá acontecer de 5 a 10 de Maio de 2026.

No total recebemos 563 submissões de 59 países nas diferentes categorias, sendo que 171 filmes são de Portugal. Outros países mais representados são Espanha, Brasil, Itália, Irão e Estados Unidos da América.

Há semelhança das edições anteriores, a categoria de Ficção foi a mais concorrida com 345 filmes, seguindo-se o Documentário com 119 e a Animação com 104 (incluindo os filmes para crianças).

A seleção oficial do festival será anunciada no início de Abril de 2026, e será composta por aproximadamente 40 filmes.

After three months of receiving your films in competition, it’s time to see them all and choose the best ones for the 13th edition of Leiria Film Fest, which will take place from the 5th to the 10th of May 2026.

In total, we received 563 submissions from 59 countries in different categories, with 171 films coming from Portugal. Other most represented countries are Spain, Brazil, Italy, Iran and United States of America.

Similar to previous editions, the Fiction category was the most popular with 345 films, followed by Documentary with 119 and Animation with 104 (including films for children).

The festival’s official selection will be announced in early April 2026, and will consist of approximately 40 films.
