Depois de três meses a receber os vossos filmes a concurso, está na altura de os ver a todos e escolher os melhores para a 12.ª edição do Leiria Film Fest, que irá acontecer de 19 a 29 de Maio de 2025.

No total recebemos 495 submissões de 56 países nas diferentes categorias, sendo que 162 filmes são de Portugal. Outros países mais representados são Espanha, Itália, França e Brasil.

Há semelhança das edições anteriores, a categoria de Ficção foi a mais concorrida com 305 filmes, seguindo-se o Documentário com 110 e a Animação com 80 (incluindo os filmes para crianças).

A seleção oficial do festival será anunciada no início de Abril de 2025, e será composta por aproximadamente 40 filmes.

After three months of receiving your films in competition, it’s time to see them all and choose the best ones for the 12th edition of Leiria Film Fest, which will take place from the 19th to the 25th of May 2025.

In total, we received 495 submissions from 56 countries in different categories, with 162 films coming from Portugal. Other most represented countries are Spain, Italy, France and Brazil.

Similar to previous editions, the Fiction category was the most popular with 305 films, followed by Documentary with 110 and Animation with 80 (including films for children).

The festival’s official selection will be announced in early April 2025, and will consist of approximately 40 films.
